Park ranger (Alexis Finch) and former FBI Agent (Casper Lawrence) team up to solve a crime after human remains are found at Glacier National Park. It seems drugs are also involved. Casper has been demoted to customs and border patrol after a job he did that went bad for the FBI. Alexis loves her job as law enforcement agent that she has had for the past five years, even though it is hard to work alongside her ex-husband Travis. Along the way, Alexis and Casper investigate a dangerous motorcycle gang that could be implicated in the crime.

This was a very entertaining read with an exciting conclusion. The bear attack at the beginning of the book was quite scary. I liked the great setting in the park. Alexis was a gutsy heroine at times and she had good chemistry with Casper. I also liked Casper’s friend, US Marshal Evan Steel. This is the first book I’ve read by Danica Winters and I look forward to reading more from this author. ( )
