a magic book!! ( )

There is a second wordless book! I see how this book relates to The Red Book, but it also a different story than the first book. Both are about 2 kids reading books that have each other in it, and one of them goes on a journey to find the other. I enjoy that the book does not have any words, but at the same time I want it to have something so I know how the kid made it from the ocean in a boat from an island to the city where the other boy was. I want to know what happens in between the pages, and without words, I find it leaves so much mystery. I do not know if there is a third book, but it makes me wonder where the story goes next. ( )

What!!!!! I thought the first book was amazing the second, or first, (can we really tell) is just as amazing. In a way I thought, "hmm maybe this is the story of how the new kid with the blue shirt got the book." However, it turns out it may be how the first kid from Red book got the book. My mind was blown! I absolutely love this book and the prequel or maybe sequel Im not sure yet. I love this book so much I want to want to write to the author and just listen to. her talking about the making of it. I forgot to mention that this book had absolutely no words, mind blowing how one of my favorite book so far had no words and I learned so much from it. ( )

I thought this book was a sequel, but how could I think that when the author is the very clever Barbara Lehman? Of course this book was Red's predecessor! It shows the beginning (possibly?) of who actually found the book first. This book gives me the same feelings that the first book gave me: the impression that we are not as alone as we think! ( )

One would think that Red Again suggests that the book is a sequel to Lehman's Caldecott Honor title The Red Book. One wonders on reading it though it if is a prequel, as it ends where the first book began, or if it's a sequel where the young protagonist of the 2005 title gets the chance for yet another adventure. Vintage Lehman with a similar palette, Red Again's illustrations ignite viewers' noticing details and coming up with their own stories. ( )
