Spider-Girl: Vol. 1 – Legacy collects issues #0-5 of Spider-Girl written by Tom DeFalco and illustrated by Pat Olliffe with Ron Frenz. The story takes place in the not-too-distant future from the Marvel universe of the 1990s and introduces May “Mayday” Parker, the daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson-Parker. She displays spider-powers during a basketball game, leading Peter and MJ to realize that they may not have made the best decision in keeping parts of the family history from her. While Mayday learns about her powers, this first volume also introduces a new generation of heroes and villains including the Fantastic Five, Normie Osborn as the new Green Goblin, Darkdevil, the Dragon King, a new Venom, and Crazy Eight. The stories extrapolate on the Marvel Universe of the late ’90s, so their future is not as futuristic as the current Marvel Universe, but these stories are still highly enjoyable for fans of comics from that era. Overall, Spider-Girl: Vol. 1 – Legacy serves as a good introduction to the MC2 universe. This volume comes in a digest-sized edition as Marvel was releasing some of its titles in that format in the mid-2000s. ( ) nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
