I've loved Paige and Mick since the beginning, I couldn't wait to get their story and it didn't disappoint.

The plot was fast paced and action packed with shootings and kidnappings and Paige's past coming back to bite. I really enjoyed getting to know more about Paige and Carrie - although I would've liked to see more of the homeless shelter they support. And we get more info about Mick and why he's so focused on rules and regulations and making sure no one crosses any lines. The romance between Paige and Mick was perfect. I liked the build up to them getting together - although I would've liked for this book to have more time with them actually together - things all sort of get resolved closer to the end than the middle. But on the other hand, that made it work. There were still instalove elements but their relationship developed more naturally.

There were a few loose ends with the mystery but only one that I really wanted to know - was Ceci - Agent Camden Lane's sister? Did he get a chance to meet her? Why did she run? But apart from that it was an engrossing criminal investigation.

I will say I'm starting to get bamboozled over the million and one characters and their relationship to one another. They're all becoming crazy related. But it's fun and I enjoy reading about the PAVAD unit and how they all interact.
