The reality that Holly Yates knew as her life changes drastically when a picture of her as a baby breaks on to the media. Suddenly the parents she knew and loved as her own are strangers and they are no longer alive so that she can ask them the questions that burn within her heart. According to Felix de Luca, her father is Crown Prince Alfred of Coronia and she is his only child and heir.

At first, she wants nothing to do with this but Felix who would be next in line for the throne if she refused, convinces her to spend some time in Coronia and then decide. There begins a journey to discover the truth of her roots and learning about her country and her royal family. Her only condition is that she remain unknown so she can make a decision without being pressured. What she discovers that the sense of belonging that she has always felt missing in her life, is right here in Coronia and with the man who brought her there by her side, she can accomplish more than she has ever dreamed of.
