Let me saying that I love the Nightwing and Vale of Stars series. The Morgans are interesting as is the world and history about them. I relish each new installment! This is a dazzling new take on the Morgan matings. A human male and a female Morgan are mates. Something new, that has not been seen or heard of in both worlds. Demetrius is the heir to Cade Enterprises and the most eligible billionaire bachelor. Shakara is a Morgan and an Icewing healer. These two will band together to help take down a weapon that’s sole purpose is to kill Morgankind and in the process find a passion that is electrifying and cannot be denied. The chemistry is smoking and the sexual tension is fiery. Besides the romance we are treated to a few appearances by previous featured characters and couples. I would suggest that you read [b:Soulfire|20640241|Soulfire (Nightwing, #1)|Juliette Cross|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1401365394s/20640241.jpg|39930900]; before Dragon Heartstring. Why? Well Demetrius is brother to Jessen and she is the main character in Soulfire. Also several things are talked about that happened in Soulfire, so if you don’t want to be spoiled, want a deeper understanding of the characters and their relationships, then I would say pick up Soulfire first. Do you have too? No! Dragon Heartstring is a smoldering read. It provides a unique and fasting perspective into Morgans and Humans. I can't wait for more! Title: Dragon Heartstrings Author: Juliette Cross Publisher: J. C. Series: Vale of Stars Prequel 0.5 Reviewed By: Arlena Dean Rating: Five Review: "Dragon Heartstrings" by Juliette Cross My Thoughts... "Dragon Heartstrings" was a good fantasy romance read of a race of people who had dragon wings and the humans. I really enjoyed the read how this author brings Shakara Icewing who was very 'strong, smart, loving and brave' being a 'Morgan Healer' and definitely the perfect match for Demetrius Cade who was the heir to Cade Enterprises together. What will happen when he start to have feeling for Shakara? What will happen when these two band together to take down 'a weapon that's sole purpose is to kill Morgankind and a old enemy resurfaces?' Be really for a good read with lots of 'mystery, suspense, chemistry with smoldering sexual tension and passion' that will definitely keep the readers interest. Definitely turning the pages till the end to see how well this story will all come out. What will happen as Demetrius who had been under his father's prejudices start following in his sister's footsteps and fall for Shakara who was a Morgan? Will these two finally get their HEA? Well, you will just have to pick up this good fantasy read to get all of these questions answered and so much more. I was really impressed with this read by this author. This was my first read about 'dragons' and I will say I did enjoyed this fantasy read. Demetrius wasn't the most likable guy when we first met him in SOULFIRE, but DRAGON HEARTSTRING makes it clear how much he has changed. We know from previous books that a romance between a Morgan and human is never easy. The romance between Shakara and Demetrius doesn't happen in an instant, but their is instant chemistry and that is easy to work off of. I was surprised that Demetrius was the one that knew what he wanted and went after it and Shakara was the hesitant one that had to work through her feelings. I thought it would be the other way around. I enjoyed watching their chemistry and relationship grow. Not only do we get to see Cade's change, but we get to see his Dad make huge strides in the right direction as well. If you have read the previous books in the Nightwing and Vale series, you know what a huge thing that is and it was really nice to see. Another thing I really enjoyed about DRAGON HEARTSTRING was that we find out what came of Aron Grayson from SOULFIRE—he so got what he deserved and still deserves worse. I don't usually like going backwards in a series, but DRAGON HEARTSTRING was worth the blast to the past. It was nice to see the final Cade sibling find their Morgan match. * This book was provided free of charge from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Demetrius and Shakara have been characters that caught my attention since the first book in the Nightwing series. And I was absolutely ECSTATIC to see them paired together. How amazing is it that an Icewing finally melts the heart of the stone-cold Demetrius Cade. This book is also a terrific transition between the Nightwing and Vale of Stars series. I really hope we see more of these two and the VoS series progresses. Advanced Review Copy provided for voluntary review consideration nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
