"He could no longer claim to be Fitzwilliam Darcy of Derbyshire, brother to Georgiana, master of Pemberley. He was, in that moment, a man. A man filled with more frustration than most souls could bear. A man torn asunder by his desperation, his fruitless dreams and desires."After Elizabeth Bennet rejects his proposal of marriage, Fitzwilliam Darcy finds himself in the most unusual of circumstances. At first believing the extraordinary turn of events has granted him an inexplicable boon, he is eager to put the humiliating proposal behind him. He soon discovers that he is trapped in a waking dream, with no end in sight and no possible escape. All that he holds dear--his name, his home, his love--remains ever out of reach. How will he find his way back to his normal life? Will one mistake haunt the rest of his days? It will take all of his fortitude to weather the storms of his strange new fate, and all of his courage to grasp the promise of his future.… (altro)

All seems to go well for Darcy until that proposal, eager to leave the next day he finds that inexplicably he was woken to the same day. How long will this keep happening and what is the purpose of him re-living the day over and over again.
Loved this, it was so easy to read and the story just flowed. (Loved the film Groundhog's Day which might have helped in loving the book)

THE MANY LIVES OF FITZWILLIAM DARCY
or as I call it:
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AU/ Darcy's POV / fantastic elements / canon/au

OK SO. Pride and prejudice is one of my favorite novels. And it's not for usual reasons. I do not consider Darcy to be the best male character of all times, I am not in love with him and in my imagination he's not that beautiful. I LOVE Elizabeth tho and she is my second favorite character of all times. She is smart and witty and she's a feminist and the way she deals with things that happened to her is very me and I identified with her since I was 12. This is the reason why I have seen every movie and tv show based on this novel.
I loved the novel Me and Mr Darcy by Alexandra Potter since it's a very good commentary on why you should maybe not be in love with Mr Darcy if you're a 21 century woman.

I picked this book to request on NetGalley as soon as I've read the description.
I am usually against a real person on the cover of the book but this time the cover is very well made.

This is a really well thought out novel especially because of the way it's a mix of the canon, which is realistic and fantastic elements Groundhog day inspired. The whole novel is written from Darcy's POV and it works, I truly believe this is the way he'd think and act. It really keeps his personality as we learn to love it.
I LOVED how some scenes from the original novel that only mentioned a thing that happened somewhere else were explored more.
If you ever thought Darcy's love for Elizabeth was rushed and not very convincing you should probably read this book.

I think this novel will have many fans since it's a good retelling of a very loved story. I am very happy to have read it.

I received an ebook copy of this book on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thanks so much for sharing. ( )
