I read this book over thirty years ago during my Waldorf teacher training. Now I reread it, and I understand it in a very different way then I did at the time. In those thirty plus years I read many other Steiner books alone or in study groups, plus gained life experience. Especially the study of Karmic Relationships volumes I to IV was very helpful. In other words: this book is not for beginners.

I needed to do extra effort to imagine the children Steiner talks about. It became a meditation in itself. I think it will be good to read this book every few years. ( )
