Note: I accessed digital review copies of this book through NetGalley and Edelweiss. This is the second Max book I have read. The main character, Max is an adorable kitten. It si time for bed and he is very sleepy. He completes his bedtime rituals, laps up his milk, brushes his teeth, even cleans behind his ears and says good night to all his friends and prize possessions, his fish, his box, his spider, and then looks up to say goodnight to the moon. But, where is the moon? It is not in the sky. Max heads off to see if he can find the moon. Will he find it? Will he be safe? Will he be able to go to sleep if he can not find the moon? The illustrations are vibrant and uncluttered. Max is portrayed as tiny in a big world with a dog, a tree, houses, buildings etc. showing his small size. I loved the colours used in this story. They are night time colours, yet still colourful enought to attract the attention of the listener. This is a perfect bedtime story for little ones with a happy, but sleepy ending. I recommend this book to all family libraries to be read aloud over and over again. I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and Sourcebooks Jabberwocky in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

HTML: The companion to the New York Times and USA Today bestseller Max the Brave! Max is done being brave, and now it's time to sleepâ??all he has to do is say good night. But something's wrong! When Max goes to say good night to the moon, it's nowhere to be found. Unable to sleep without finishing his nighttime ritual, Max embarks on a journey to find the moon and wish it a good night. Praise for Max the Brave: "A cat-and-mouse game to be laughed at and reread." â??Kirkus "Full of playful humor...enhanced by the humorous text, character expressions, and a not-scary monster to boot. VERDICT Highly recommended." â?? School Library Journal "Both the punchy text and illustrations command attention, and plenty of readers will get a kick out of feeling superior to Max" â??Publishers Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
