I expected more from the creator of Downton Abbey but of course, with no real story, no big names playing aristocrats and swishing about in grand crinolines, then this is all there is. ( ) I really enjoyed listening to this book narrated by Juliet Stevenson, although mainly set in the Victorian era I did think it reminded me a bit of Georgette Heyer in that it was a lot to do with social position and what was acceptable within high society. My only criticism is not a great deal happened, in that it's a fairly small story with a limited cast of characters. That said I would recommend it and a solid 4 stars for me nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

HTML: Julian Fellowes's Belgravia is the story of a secret. A secret that unravels behind the porticoed doors of London's grandest postcode. Set in the 1840s when the upper echelons of society began to rub shoulders with the emerging industrial nouveau riche, Belgravia is peopled by a rich cast of characters. But the story begins on the eve of the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. At the Duchess of Richmond's new legendary ball, one family's life will change forever. .Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
