“Don’t Get a Job, Make a Job” is aimed at creative graduates, specifically Designers and Architects, making their first steps into the sector. The book aims to demystify the transition between degree and the real world with some fun, insightful case studies as well as advice from those working in the industry. It has some great, non-nonsense advice presented in snappy short colour profiles, particularly chapters on Going Mobile (page 27) Tough Calls (page 71 ). The book is has only recently been published in the UK and the overall author is Gem Barton, a design writer and academic and Senior Lecturer at Brighton University. A good read!
