A touching read about Vincent van Gogh, as told through the eyes of one of his childhood bullies. This introduces his artwork beautifully and discusses bullying in a compelling way. I had no idea van Gogh experienced bullying, and I expect this will be a powerful read for kids, for both the art and social aspects alike. ( ) A poorly executed story about a kid who bullies Van Gogh, while sometimes getting glimmers that there might be more to the artist. Later he realizes he was a great artist, and says he doesn't laugh at him anymore. Oh, ok. Now that he's an adult and Van Gogh is dead (suicide or murder, we don't know) and famous? Thanks. This is a story about bullying Vincent Van Gogh, a tremendous painter but people thought he was crazy and weird due to his being different. I have learned that different doesn't mean wrong is a good mantra to live by but we don't always. The illustrations are gorgeous and either very reminiscent or replicas of some of Van Gogh's works. I like this one a lot. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
