When Scarlet begins to follow her brother's band Wild Child, she has no clue that she will encounter the darker side of rock and roll. The darker side being Sebastian Delacourte. Sebastian is a dark, handsome and cultured man who has found his place in the business with a deep, dark secret. He is vampire. And he must hunt human blood to survive. Scarlet peeks his curiousity. She's beautiful and reminds him of someone. But on their first date, he almost rapes her, and Gary, Scarlet's brother, and Vince, another musician in the band who has taken an interest in Scarlet, decide that Sebastian is a dead man. But before they can get to him, something happens to Scarlet...she is turned into a vampire by Sebastian and then she disappears. Scarlet had been helping Vince look through his old ancestral home and suddenly come across an evil spirit who transports her back to the seventeenth century where unknowingly she will meet the young Sebastian before he is turned. So Scarlet makes it her job to stop this evil transformation. But what will happen to herself in the future if she stops the turning of Sebastian, will she cease to be a vampire herself? And what of her feelings toward Sebastian. He seems to draw her.
I enjoyed this book very much. Had a good story line and easy to follow. Loved having the sequel also in this purchase. ( )
