Original Review:2014
This book just made me sad. Raise your hand if that's why you read Harleys. I didn't think so. I never felt that the hero loved the heroine. Nearly every time that we are in his POV he is thinking about his dead wife. Very last page in fact at their wedding he has tears in his eyes saying goodbye to his dead wife.
Now I appreciate that he loved his first wife. It makes a nice change from most books where it turns out the first wife whom everyone thinks the hero is still grieving over is really a money grubbing cheating beeatch. But I never felt the love of the hero for our heroine. He doesn't fall in love with her until nearly the end of the book. That all makes the cheating 4 years ago just plain cheating and the heroine was right it could have been anyone that he fell in bed with. He spends too much time blaming her for the whole thing when he never told her he was married in the first place.
I've had some bad luck with HPs lately. Someone recommend a really great one for me please! ( )
