Was given to me by an acquaintance when she found out my husband left me. I wish something had been on it warning me it was a religious healing book. Some advice was good but I do not do the religion thing so was not ever all happy with the book. ( ) I have learned quite a bit from reading this book. The workbook at the end was helpful. Another helpful book is " Living Happier After: 20 Women Talk About Life After Divorce" by author Wilma Jones. This book tells stories about what women went though in their own voices. "Living Happier After" tells you the real deal regarding what it takes to overcome the demise of a marriage and emerge living happier after. http://www.livinghappierafter.com/ I probably should have read this book some time ago for it to have had a lot of meaning for me. I read it not for myself, but to see if it were worth recommending to others in that situation. The text itself was too much in the world for me. There were few references to God, or leaning upon Him and the Chruch for support. Those references were still there, but the bulk of the advice was firmly set in modern psychology rather than proven Scripture. The real value of the book is in the working guide at the end. It is very extensive, very probing, and very based in the Bible. It encourages people ever toward Christ while really working out serious issues dealing with divorce. In the end, I do not recommend the book as much as I do the working guide, which is really the opposite of what I would normally do. In this case, however, I find the working guide quite good and the rest of the book mediocre. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
