Jasmine Taveras is the reason Sarge Purcell grabbed his six-string and bailed the hell out of New Jersey four years ago. She's the fuel for every song he's ever written-each one laced with bitter, hard-edged, hungry lust. Now, with his hugely successful band on temporary hiatus, Sarge is determined to prove to Jasmine that he's turned into every inch the man she's always needed... Men are slim pickings for a single factory girl in Hook, New Jersey...until tall, broad-shouldered hotness walks-or rather storms-into Jasmine's life. Sarge's return shouldn't affect her this way. He's her best friend's much younger brother and the kind of rough, gritty sexiness Jasmine has no right to taste for herself. Even if he lets her. But lust is a blinding, insatiable force. And when it crashes, it will take both Sarge and Jasmine down with it...… (altro)

Definitely another great book by this author. I loved the spin on the age gap. It wasn't such a big age difference that it was creepy or uncomfortable. In a way, it reminded me of Nick Jonas and his wife.

My issues with the story came in regard to the relationship between Sarge and his sister. Her being so adamant of "protecting" her daughter from everyone including her brother was just weird. Especially, as she seemed pretty cool in other ways.

Still, great characters, chemistry, and a happily for now ending. ( )

I actually liked this book a lot, some of the sex scenes were on point and very hot.
But at the same time, the story was nonexistent because of these scenes. There was just so many of them, there was almost no time to develop the characters.
Also sometimes I cringed a little while reading some stuff the mc said. Dirty talk is good, but sometimes it was just too much. I mean... "To pin her down, plow himself deep, and pump like a nasty dog". Who even thinks that? And Sarge was a little bit too dominant, even though he was a very nice person. I like my men in romance to be dirty talkers but soft at the same time.
The ending was sweet, even too sweet for my taste, but it's fine tbh. I'm looking forward to continuing the series! ( )

I am ashamed to admit that I went into this story determined not to give it a chance. The stereotypical younger man, older woman scenario turned me off. Yet as I began to learn some of the back history of the relationship between Sarge and Jasmine the concept the author was going for came into focus. I mean Ms. Bailey did write a steamy read that is equal parts obsession and repression. I received an ARC of Crashed Out in exchange for an honest review.

"5 out of 5 stars!! Ever since he was young, his older sister’s best friend, Jasmine (Jas), has fascinated Sarge. Over the years, that fascination has turned into a big crush and a bit of an obsession. Therefore, when he was eighteen and realized Jasmine wasn't noticing him he took off for LA to make a name for himself as a musician, which he did. Now, four years later, he's back home in Hook, NJ to catch up with his sister and to find a way to overcome his obsession with Jasmine once and for all. Yet Sarge soon finds out that getting over Jasmine is easier said than done...

This tantalizing erotic romance is not only steamy it has a great plotline too! Extremely hot because ..."
