This book is about a little girl named Nina, she should be asleep, but she is not. She wants to join the party with all of her aunts and uncles. Her parents tell her over and over it is not time to play but time for bed. She does not listen to them, and they give in and allows her to stay up. She wakes up her little brother, and now he wants to join the fun. I personally would not read this book to my future kids; it shows that these kids got away with disobeying. The parents should have control, and if they say to go to bed, their kids should listen. The illustrations were really good! ( )

I really did not enjoy the concept of this book. While the pictures were nice and the ending cute, I do not like that this book drags on and on. The children do not listen to their parents time and time again, and all the parents do is fuss at them and then give in. I think that this can send the wrong message to children, that they do not have to listen to their parents because they will give in to everything the child wants to do. I will not ever read this book to my kids considering that I think it will teach them that it is funny to disobey your parents. This book shows that the children run the house, and the parents do not have control. ( )
