Viva Chicano is a book about a boy that has been in trouble a lot since his father died, but he is trying to change that. His mother thinks he is always doing drugs and his step dad does nothing than sit around all day. When his mom and step dad go out to eat one night and he has to watch his little brother, somthing terrible happens and everyone thinks that he is the one who did it. He must avoid the cops and find a way to clear his name. On top of that he is being talked to in his head by a General that was a leader in the Mexican Revolution, the General is telling him what to do and what not to do. He must decide if he is going to listen to the General or ignore him.
I thought that this book was pretty good. It showed very good detail throught the book telling what everything looks like through out the book. It put a good image into my head. To me that is what a good writer does. ( )
