Atmosphere is same as before - this is serious horror here with people dying and getting seduced by mysterious creatures of the night. The feeling of dread and utter despair is still present and as you read you are constantly wondering who will end up dead, authors truly keep you on the edge entire time.
Art is also good but again this is standard for almost all books associated with Mike Mignola.
So all in all interesting book but severely suffering from the fact that readers wont be any smarter about the events after reading it and it would feel like entire arc could be easily skipped. Which is bad thing because I am sure that events from this arc will pop up along the way as the main story progresses.
Recommended to all fans of horror stories and magnificent universe Mike Mignola created. ( )
