( ) I liked this book for many reasons including the overall plot, the writing style, and the illustrations. This picture book is about a young boy named Henry, who cannot sit still. Every activity he is involved in, he has to do it again and again. I loved the plot of the story because it is so realistic. To anyone who has been around kids, we all have experienced this. The writing was also very organized and it flowed seamlessly to each page. "Lucy plays the piggy game, tickling Henry's toes. Then peekaboo and pat-a-cake and every game she knows." Most of the words rhymed which made the story much more exciting. The illustrations were also very realistic looking and fit with the written text. "At last, the house is quiet. At last, we get to rest." The illustrations covered the entire two pages with a view of their home. The living room was very detailed with the family dog sleeping on the floor and the games they had finished playing sprawled on the floor. Henry is a toddler in a family of grown ups and bigger kids. He has energy like the energizer bunny. He wants more of everything. More playing, more wagon rides, more singing, etc. He just wants all the attention. Well finally Henry's mom says lets read two bed time stories, but that wasn't the case. He finally fell asleep and his mom put him in bed. She was now wanting to kiss him goodnight more. Toddlers are a lot of work and need constant attention/supervision. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
