I have been a fan of MJ Fields since the Steel books. Getting a chance to read Hendrix did not disappoint. I really liked the main characters Hendrix and Livi. Their relationship was just awesome and they were perfect for each other. Livi's panties obsession was probably the best part of the book. I loved every pair she wore to empower her. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. ( )

I really liked the premise of this story. It started off right. I liked the character building. But at some point the author lost focus. The writing was all over the place. She didn't gradually take you from point A to point B. The writing style was ADD. Also it was a bit much on the intimacy scenes. I like a little bit of raunchy every now and then. But not repeatedly vulgar. It stopped being sexy half way through. Then just became crass.

I think the plot was great. The actual characters were likeable. Loved the wedding ceremony. That writing was on point. But it left a lot to be desired.

I went into this expecting the dark alpha world like Chelsea’s other series. This is pretty tame compared to those not that there is anything wrong with that but I was expecting more Alpha-ness. For those that have a harder time with the rougher stuff but have wanted to try this author this would be a good book to start with.

This book introduces us to 3 brothers who didn’t have the easiest time growing up with an alcoholic father who runs a bar and a mother who loved them but took their father’s abuse far longer than she should have. Present day their mother has died from cancer and now the oldest Hendrix Caldwell runs the bar. He is defiantly the one that took the heavier burden of the family on his shoulders and after finally kicking his father out of the bar decides it’s time for some changes.

Olivia Hemmingway is financially struggling after graduating college. She also hasn’t had it easy. Her parents divorced when she was young so she had to live her life going back and forth between their homes states away from each other. It was during those times at her father’s that something horrible happens that changes her but she is determined to not let it define her.

When Olivia applies for a job at Hendrix bar they don’t realize how their worlds are going to change. I did like the two of them together. They complimented each other well and Hendrix helped Olivia overcome her issues along with being her biggest supporter by some surprises toward the end of the book.

My mind was blown after reading Hendrix! My one warning is keeping your Kleenex handy, you will need it. Hendrix Caldwell and brothers has had an awful childhood. His father was physically abusive to them all, but their mother protected them until they were old enough to fight back. Then after their mother dies from cancer, Hendrix and his brothers Morrison and Jagger kick their father from their lives and set about turning their family dive bar into a biker bar.
Olivia (Livi) had a rough childhood, split up two parents. She spent school time with her mother and the summers with her dad. Until something horrific changes her for good, Livi changes into a different person, when vows to always be in control and to never allow anything to be taken from her without consent again. Now as she leaves college a fledgling social worker, not even able to keep the utilities of, in her slum apartment. So she was forced to get another job and that is when she spotted a job of a bar tender at the new bar Caldwell's Dive.
But I honestly don't think either Livi or Hendrix expected to have the sparks fly between them. But it all comes to a head when someone from the past comes back to haunt Livi; Hendrix is there to protect Livi and helps her through the trauma of her past.
When I say this book blew my mind! It truly did! I have honestly never read a book like this and now I need to read the rest of the Series…like right now! I love the Caldwell Brothers, their characters are simply divine! Honestly they are perfect! Even with Jagger and Morrison's womanizing, I honestly can't wait for their stories.
The writing is amazing, I found no plot holes and the story is smooth and quite honestly it is so very moreish! With all that being said, I can only give Hendrix one score! 10 out of 10!

This was a great read, I couldn't put it down. Hendrix is the eldest brother and he is all that is alpha, he's broody and so hot he's dripping sex. The brothers unfortunately lost their mother to cancer, you see their loss, and how it strengthened the bond between them, a bond which will never be broken. Even when a female is added to the mix. The dialogue and bantering between the brothers was great and all done in good fun. You also get to see the pain their bum of father caused the family with his selfishness and violence.
Through all this, we see how Hendrix have survived and what the future has in store for him if he's willing to take a chance.

A wonderfully written story with charismatic characters. Great chemistry between Hendrix and Olivia, they really heated up the pages. Eagerly looking forward to the next book. ( )
