There were many differences in this version, compared to the traditional story of "The Gingerbread Man". The different characters that the gingerbread boy ran from were different that the original, and I loved how the author/illustrator Richard Egielski dedicated pages of just illustrations to depict all the characters that the gingerbread boy was running from. On top of that, in the traditional story the gingerbread man lived happily ever after in his gingerbread house. In this story, it did not start with "Once upon a time", nor did it end in "happily ever after". At the end of this story, the gingerbread boy was eaten by the fox! I thought that was a twist, but it was definitely a good moral to the story that you won't get far in life by being cocky. it is so comical to see the Gingerbread Boy "run, run, run, as fast as he can", while all of the people are chasing him through the town. Then, he comes to a fox. He thinks he can outsmart the fox, but the fox is smarter. The fox offers to bring him across the lake, so the Gingerbread Boy takes her offer. The fox then throws up the Gingerbread Boy into the air, and eats him. Oh no!! nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
