I would have given this book only 1/2 a star if I could have. I don't even know why I actually finished it. It is about a girl named Lizzy who, after her father's stroke and death (possibly murder), she takes over the family ranch despite not having any experience or education on the running of a ranch. She spends most of the book pining away for the love (Cole) that she lost to her sister who has no memory of anything due to a plane crash. Why a woman would still want a man who left her to marry her sister is beyond me. She continually proves she does not know how to run a ranch. The book made countless references to Lizzy's long platinum hair which was really annoying. I kept feeling that while this is a stand alone book I was missing a whole book that took place before this one. Apparently there was a second book that perhaps was a prequel to this one but as I couldn't stand this one I did not and will not read it.
This was my first book by Ann Major and it certainly put a foul taste in my mouth about reading any more of her books ( )
