A frog who doesn't believe he's a frog sets out to figure out if he's a prince that has been turned into a frog. Lots of laughs in this one - a nice mixture of puns, wacky dialogue, and slapstick visual gags. This will go over very well in storytime. ( )

My 6yr old son checked this book from the library. I normally don't have time to review all the books he checks out, but I enjoyed this one so much I wanted to review (enjoyed by both my 2 and 6 year olds too).
This is presented in the style of a fairy tale (like Ugly Duckling). It has a nice moral of being true to yourself and that friends accept and help you be yourself. I docked a star because I don't really like the illustrations all that much, especially that the frog kicks ducks (why not kick rocks or something?) and how the fox is drawn. ( )
