Very cute. Loved the colored pencil illustrations. This was another one of those "quiet" books for me -- a good story to read one-on-one with a child, probably. ( )

Cute back-and-forth dialogue picture book of a father and daughter's day at the park. The father's and daughter's lines are printed in different color inks, to better differentiate, except I found the two colors to be a bit too similar to easily tell apart. On a few pages, I had to really concentrate to know which was which.

I like that the story features a father/daughter pair, instead of the typical father/son or mother/child pairings. The illustrations are lovely color pencil illustrations in a rich autumnal color palette.

This book is suitable for primary aged children. It is about a father and daughter who walk through their neighborhood, asking each other questions. It encompasses a strong father-daughter relationship as well as all of the wonders a young child may have. I would use this book in my classroom to solidify and bring attention to a strong parent relationship the child might personally have. This could be something really special to a child and it is necessary to show your students that you can see that and understand the value of it. ( )

This story is heartwarming because it follows the plot of a little girl going on a walk with her dad and along the way they ask each other questions about nature and little life pleasures. They get to know more about each other and it's a great representation of what a sweet father and daughter relationship could look like. It's a pretty easy read and would use in the classroom to get my students engaged in asking questions and getting to know others. ( )

An illustrated conversation between a father and daughter, it's the artwork that is is the star here. Suzy Lee's vibrant colored pencil illustrations add interest and excitement to the look-how-cute-kids-are text. There seems to be a trend in picture books to use only dialogue without punctuation or indication of who is talking. The two-color text here helps, as do italics or fonts in other books, but seeing as picture books are mostly designed to be read aloud, I find it an annoying trend because I have to improvise the surrounding narration.
