I was bamboozled!
When I started to read my Pooh book of the day, Funny Hunny Christmas I was reminded that it is just yesterday's book, Pooh: The Sweetest Christmas, with a new title and a new cover illustrated by Costa Alavezos. The insides are identical in text and pictures, written by Ann Braybrooks and drawn by Josie Yee. My daughter pointed out that at least we are only out 48 cents according to the Half-Price Books sticker on the cover of the original book.
ORIGINAL REVIEW - 12/24/2022
After too many pages of sifting through the junk in his house to regift as Christmas presents to his friends, Winnie the Pooh decides he must make the ultimate sacrifice and give out his full stock of honey pots. But as he gives each friend a pot -- over and over, page by page -- they give him a present back with smirks and cryptic little statements that go over Pooh's head.
Sort of cute, sort of annoying.
(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:
