Not much "cowboy" either (except the cover). ( ) Very short, very sweet, and very hot is a good way to describe the story. There is some angst, a major (if somewhat stupid) misunderstanding, both men are looking for a partner, but neither is willing to be completely honest. What do you get? Drama! Quinn owns his family's cattle station with his brother, and has just, after much hard work, been able to sign a contract that will enable him to supply a grocer with meat. This takes his worry off having to find buyers for his cattle, and life has become almost perfect. That he was tempted to ask out one of the employees at his new client’s office remains irrelevant—until Luc, who is a lot younger than Quinn, turns up at the pub asking for a signature Quinn is supposed to have forgotten. Quinn uses the opportunity to invite the guy over to his house and they get acquainted in more, ahem, intimate detail. Luc is a hard worker and never received anything for free in his life. But people’s perceptions make him out to benefit from who he is, so when Quinn has no idea who he is, Luc takes advantage. Of course, that little “omission” will eventually cause quite the drama, but I can’t say I blame Luc. Especially not after Quinn goes on and on about people who “leech” off their families. If you like extremely short, very hot stories about two men who fall into instant lust, then try to figure out if they’re compatible almost as an afterthought, and if you enjoy reading about cowboys who live in faraway places, then you will probably enjoy this short story.
