Alexander is trying his hardest to be on his best behavior. which is hard for anyone. This story shows how hard it can be to resist the urge to break rules, spill spaghetti on your brothers, and play games even if you don't win them. I love this book because it is so helpful to use with children who struggle with ADHD. It presents the challenges of trying your hardest to be the best boy ever. ( )

Alexander eats a whole box of jelly doughnuts and hates the consequences. Realistic in capturing how kids think but lacks the charm and warmth of the original Alexander story. ( )

How hard it is to be a good boy al week, especially when donuts are involved. Silly Good for really young kids. ( )

This book is similar to other alexander books in that alexander is trying tobe the best person he can be but something always seems to get in the way.
