Exactly what was Pompeii? Pompeii was a disasterous eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. This eruption was one of the most distructivevolcanic eruption ever recorded. This eruption killed lost of people and preserved the city very well. Lots of the city had collapsed but it has been the best that they've found. Some parts of the city is marked off because of the dangers with people beingthere just in case the roofs collapse. There are even places that haven't even been excavated.

This book is very informative and really puts the disaster into another perspective. If you think about it this disaster is very hard to put into this small of a book. Even though this book is for younger kids this book could help people with some background knowledge about Pompeii. I really don't like reading nonfiction book, but this one really gets me interested. These kinds of books really suprise me with how much they can actually put into this book. That's why I would recommend this book. ( )
