In the meeting of the womens rights movements, there were less than 300 people attended. There was a women named Lydia taft, she was wealthy in a town in mascheussteues, she was aloud to vote. In the years 1776 and 1807, women were aloud to vote in New Jersey if you had some amount of property. In the states there were 3 smart, brave women. Lucretia, Elizabeth, and Carl were one of the ladies who attempted to change the organization in the states. They felt it was unfair to have fewer rights than men. They also knew that they didnt desire these rights to earn political power. They believed thhat they could improve womens access to higher education. One day 250 women showed up for a meeting. Even 40 men. The meaning was about the equality with men and women. They hoped to see female suffarge become a reality of their life time, but it didnt. When war ended in 1865, there were still some women decided to resume to their struggles for their rights. In 1869, it was confirmed that black men were citizens, but still women didnt get any rights. in 1870, all men citizens, all colors, guranteed suffarge. Still. Women didn't get any rights. All the states were all free to restrict women from voting. They was this women named paul who was thrown in jail. There was bright light around to keep her from sleeping. She wasn't serverd food but she wouldnt eat. When this wouldnt work. They shoved a tube down her throat and pured liquids in her. All these tortures, Paul still wouldnt give in. When newspapers found out what was going on, the public was outrage. in 1920, women were fianlly aloud to vote. Without women risking lives and being brave, we may not have won the right to vote. Today, many people take that right for granted. There were a lot of women who put there lives out there so women could have the freedom women have today.

I really thought this book was really inspiring. :) I like it. ( )
