In my opinion this book is very helpful in allowing children to open their eyes and know that there are many ways on can identify themselves, physical appearance is only one aspect. Two reasons this book grabbed my attention was first, the illustrations, because they enhanced the story. Color was the most important factor in relaying the message of; does the color on the outside determine who you are on the inside? Caesar, the dog, compares himself to other similar colored animals like: A cow, a pony, a zebra and a woodpecker, of which all have black and white patterns on them but identified as a color that represented them accordingly. Throughout the illustrations, each color the animal chose to represent them was used as the background color to show self expression can be fun, yet unique. Second, the plot was very organized, yet suspenseful with a satisfying ending. Caesar felt lost in not knowing what color he was at the beginning, ventured out to seek advice and help to find his true color, and in the end concluded that the color on the outside did not matter. This idea is clear and easily picked up by the way the plot was organized. ( ) nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
Caesar sets out to discover if he is a white dog with black spots or a black dog with white spots, but asking other black and white creatures only confuses him further. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
