This just reminded me of how much I love Katie McGarry and her writing. This makes me want to read Crash into You asap! I still need to read it! ( )

I really wish this were a full book.
It's short. And a little choppy.
More like a random snapshot than a full story.
It touches on several issues, but doesn't really dig into them. More like skimming the surface.
A snapshot. A glimpse.

It's not bad. Reminded me a little bit of [b:The Beginning of Everything|13522285|The Beginning of Everything|Robyn Schneider|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1366395005s/13522285.jpg|19082966]. In a good way.

Katie McGarry is an awesome author, one of my favorites. When I found out about this book, I was so excited. I love anything Katie writes, and this one is no exception.

Stella has a hard life; she spends most of her time hanging around the local cemetery. Jonah just went through a traumatizing experience, and can only find peace with Stella. They’re from different backgrounds, so their relationship is constantly threatened. Can they find a way to be together?

I was really intrigued with how Katie would be able to pull off this story with only 87 pages. And surprisingly, she did a great job.

We met both characters and went deep into their emotions and struggles. However, I don’t think we had enough pages to actually see their characters mature and develop as much as I wanted them to (they did mature, but… I wanted more). This is understandable because it’s such a short story.

I really liked their relationship. It had me smiling and cheering for them no matter how the story unraveled.
It’s not one in a million, Stella. It’s two in a million and it’s you and me. In other words… I’m not giving up on us.

I also liked the foundation that Katie was writing for. The Goodie Two Shoes foundation. Really, if you have the time, visit this website.

Overall, even if there wasn’t enough time to actually develop the characters, this book is worth a read. You’ll get to meet two wonderful characters and also learn about a wonderful cause along the way. Besides, the book is free on Amazon, so you have nothing to lose. ;D ( )
