This gets an extra star because it's autographed (I am actually touching something that was touched by Julie Andrews! How cool is that??). Story-wise, it's ok - I prefer Fancy Nancy, which seems pretty similar. Maybe small children would get into this book more - I will have to see how my young friends react! THE VERY FAIRY PRINCESS SPARKLES IN THE SNOW is a book I really think is going to be enjoyed by those who are already fans of this series.

In the story, Gerry wants to SHINE in the spotlight and be the soloist, however the chorus director has told everyone that they are bringing in a professional to do that part. Her family tries to cheer her up, but it's hard to be in the background.

This book has a lovely dustcover (all sparkly!) and a happy ending. There's humor for both kids and adults too.

Personally though, I would consider this book a 'Library Find'. BUT Young Fans might definitely have different ideas and want it for their shelves!

I can already hear the peals of delight in my primary school library from my young patrons when they catch sight of this new Very Fairy Princess story. All I would have to do is read the title to have lines forming to check out this book.

And fans at my school and worldwide will not be disappointed. This may be the best Very Fairy Princess story yet. Our heroine is hopeful and genuine and just slightly imperfect and always creative and, of course, quite sparkly.
