It is great to have a book that helps you identify and correct knitting problems and still keep a smile on your face. Error in your cable or pattern? Dropped a few stitches? Those are problems that might have frustrated me but no longer. Actually, with the book's instructions, I make less mistakes by nipping my potential errors before they even get stitched in. This isn't a book you read from cover to cover, but dip into when you're trying to resolve a crisis, having a knitting emergency or otherwise need some help. It would have been extremely useful six years ago when I started knitting, but I still found useful hints and tips in it for now and there are some very clear diagrams. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
Dropped and twisted stitches, too-small button holes, and mis-crossed cables are only a few of the knitting dilemmas tackled in this humorous and useful guide. Beginners and seasoned knitters alike are promised that learning from mistakes improves technique and inspires personal style--and that sometimes the best solution is just to let a mistake stand. To head off problems before they start, the sturdy, spiral-bound book explains the correct way to cast on and bind off, decipher charts, choose fibers, calculate yardage, join yarns, work with multicolor designs, and--for more experienced knitters--how to alter a finished piece or customize a pattern.
