After being blindsided by her boyfriend in finding out that he was really married, she doesn't trust her judgment anymore to give advice to others. Ethan is her best friend. They enjoy spending time together, same the same interests and it doesn't hurt that he is smokin' hot. She definitely is attracted but when she starts getting the signal that he feels the same, she can't trust him to be lying to her too. Is Ethan a temptation she can afford to take a risk on? Can she ever trust her on judgment again? This was a really cute, short romance story. It didn't feel rushed at all, interesting story and chemistry between Kristen & Ethan was hot! Glad I read it. I received this book in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley. It was a really wonderful short romance!!! It has humour and it is also insightful because you see how a person deals with betrayal. But more than, you see how a person who falls down is trying to bring himself up again.. As a woman myself, despite the fact that I haven't been cheated on, I can relate to Kristen's reactions. She wasn't really hurt for the betrayal. But it was agonising that she hadn't seen it.All the questions about "Why?How could I not know? What else could I have done? How could I be so wrong?" are expressed in this book in an amazing human way, bringing the cruel reality into it.We see a woman who quits her job..has the guts to go for something entirely new..and through Ethan she realises that she has lost the confident successful woman that she was and still is..And she wants to return to her true self..And she does that..Plus,she takes responsibility for her actions, something that doesn't happen very often generally.. A Short Romance with true meaning, surrounded by humour and well..love! nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

A sweet tale of friendship growing into love that will make you smile. Kristen knows men hide things. Case in point, her last boyfriend turned out to be married. Just like anyone else would be, Kristen is devastated. However, since Kristen evaluates people for a living, her ex's duplicity has her searching for a new career as well as swearing off men. Touring history museums with her sexy friend Ethan doesn't count, because he has a girlfriend, and has only shown friendly interest in Kristen. He even helps with her career counseling tasks. Although Kristen has a secret crush on Ethan, spending time with him is safe. Until she discovers he's actually single. Gasp. And now he's flirting with her, too. Suddenly, Ethan is way too dangerous. Not to mention tempting. Sure, he seems like sixty shades of perfect, but how's a girl with bad judgment supposed to detect what skeletons he has in his closet? A few years ago when I read my first few Hatler books, I enjoyed them because they were short, simple, yet romantic stories. They’re perfect when I’m in the mood for a light read but also need enjoyable characters and great writing. With Save the Date I received just what I was looking for.
The Better Date than Never series follows characters with connected lives, yet even with the time gap between the last book in the series I read and now, I don’t feel like I was out of the loop. It was easy to jump into the story and discover the characters and storyline (which if I remember right are mostly new, with only a little back story mentioned from a previous book).
I liked what Hatler did with Kristen and her story. It only added to the enjoyment when the romance aspect popped up in the story, and even then it wasn’t easy to predict exactly what was going to be the outcome.
So as I said, this was another great Hatler read. It was quick and sweet and just what I needed to help me in a current book funk. I won’t be waiting too long to read more from the series now that I’ve had another taste. ( )
