Just not feeling the love everyone else seems to be giving this book. The story was okay but not riveting. The writing held it back. It was just meh for me. It funny how some authors can write something so intense that you can't help turning the pages and another author can write the same story line and you struggle to finish it. For me this book was the second type. I finished it because I searched it out and bought it used and paid shipping and gosh darn it, it wasn't going to get the best of me. Probably will not be going on with the series. ( ) Fun. The setup is a little unlikely - Granger didn't make the news? Or Chase just ignored all newspapers, since he didn't see the ads? Very odd. But still. It's not an utterly implausible scenario, given the idiot/hero at the center... and he is at least consistent in his patterns. Stevie is great, too - and nearly as self-sacrificing as Chase, so they fit well together. At least, they'll recognize the signs in each other, and they're perfectly willing to tell the other just how stupid that is... I like Sean too - I'd like to see his story. Good, and worth a reread - I want to see what I missed this time through (quite certain there's a lot). nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
