This is the story of Conner & Brian Sullivan & Abby Bartlett. Conner & Brian are brothers. Conner is a lawyer who isn't ready to settle down. Brian is a teacher & a widower that watched his wife suffer from Huntington's. Abby is Brian's friend from school & has stepped in to help Brian look after his daughter, Skylar. Abby and Conner begin a relationship but Conner keeps drawing back thinking Brian & Skylar need her more.

Violets' writing style draws you into the characters & plot line. Her characters are complex & well developed and you can imagine what they are like. And the ending was not what I was expecting. I loved this book & couldn't wait for the next! ( )

Was a decent read. The book moved a little slow for me and left me wondering where the author was going with the story line. I am more upset at the ending and how in order to see how the main character plays out I have to get the second book instead of keeping the story line going. ( )

To save much unnecessary wear and tear on your walls and/or you kindle...know now this book is part 1 of a 3 part serial!! When the book ends you will want to scream but know that it picks right back up in the next book!!

This story is simply amazing. It involves one woman and two brothers. One is her best friend and an all round good guy and he could possibly be more than just a friend. The other is an old crush and most definitely a bad boy as well as someone she could lose her heart to!! In this first book we get to see into the relationship between Abby and Conner. Will he put away his bad boy ways for Abby?? You simply must read this book and find out. Highly Highly recommended read. ( )

What do you get when you mix a sexy bad boy and a reformed school slut? One raunchy ride you will not forget! The ending was a major cliffhanger, but the author specifically states that this is a serial romance, which means the book is not over! There are three parts to this book. Here is my review of part one.

Abby: I want to be this lady! Abby is a the good girl geek. She also happens to be drop dead cup gorgeous. She's stunning, she's smart, and she's sassy. As Mryna from Backstage Pass would say, she's also got a degrees in cock-tease-ology. As confident as she sounds, she also has a vulnerable side. Like most teens, she had a terrible high school experience, but her problems are truly original, and she'll go to any length to stop what happened to her in high school from happening again. Even if it means sleepless nights and a perpetual lady boner.

Connor: Well, according to Abby, Connor is a bit of an "asshat" and I have to agree. The man pencils his lovers in advance! He keeps them for one month, never any longer, then he creeps out in the dead of night. He says he has reasons for this approach, but they don't make him any less of a jerk. However, he is of course the redeemed play boy by the end of the book with his professed interest in keeping Abby around until after the month is up.

This book made my Top Ten Books of 2013 (the one in my head). It was hilarious and so hot I had to pop out B.O.B after – and during – a few smutty scenes. If you're a woman who likes her books to include sexy toys, crotchless panties, and playboys that know exactly how to please a woman, pick up this book, it will not disappoint. And better yet, it's free!

"Resisting the Bad Boy" by Violet Duke was a very captivating as well as a amazing contemporary romance and the first in this authors' series 'Nice girl to Love #1.' You will get easily caught up in the novel not being able to put it down until the very end. The three main characters Abby, Brian and Connor were all very well developed only to deliver to the reader a excellent read. Now, we have two brothers and a girl who is a friend to one. Now, who will get the girl? In this very 'fast moving, funny and sexy read' you will find this storyline a very interesting one where you will find yourself laughing out loud throughout this novel. This author gives the reader "an incredibly romantic story about Connor, an emotionally shut-off bad boy who is revealed to be a good, self-sacrificing man by Abby, the good girl who brings it all out when she shows him real affection without an ulterior motive." You will have to pick up this good read to see how far this author will take the reader on this run. Be prepared though, there will be a cliff hanger and you will have to pick up the next series 'Falling for the Good Guy' to get the rest of this story. Would I recommend? YES! ( )
