Sister decides to take the fall for older sister who has priors but instead of getting community service for a first offence, the judge sentences her to 6 months in juvenile prison. For mature readers as contains sex, violence and language and drug and alcohol abuse. Engaging book with mostly believable characters and scenarios although I am not sure that a prison guard would befriend an inmates' sister and arrange play dates with their 3 year-olds. ( ) Sadie and her older sister Carla get arrested for being involved in a drug deal; for both it's wrong time, wrong place. But Sadie agrees to take the fall for Carla so that Lulu won't be without her mother for four years. As a juvenile and first-time offender, Sadie expects to get off easy but doesn't count on a hard-ass judge to throw the book at her and give her six months in juvenile detention. There's not much of a personal transformation with Sadie as with Nikki in "Criminal." But then Sadie knows the truth of her situation and sacrifice, and she mainly serves as an observer of life on the inside, and the seamier side of intent and broken trust. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
