great storytelling and beginning to a run that is truly epic in scope

Often a little too tally for my tastes, but Hickman sells the idea of the multiverse finally running out of gas and the superhero illuminati getting together to try and slow it down. Intrigued to continue. ( )

It’s the sorta sequel to the New AVengers Illuminati TPB. THis time it’s the guy who didn’t think the gathering of the ‘Illuminati’ was a good idea, The Black Panther, who calls everyone together when something happens in Wakanda.

The end of the world is happening too soon, and it’s not just our Earth that it’s happening to. All the multiverse is going kabloey. And Earth seems to always be the Incursion point. So, Black Panther gets together Black Bolt, Namor, Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Captain America, Doctor Strange, and Hank McCoy, and they try their best to put off the destruction, at the same time trying to get information out of the Black Swan lady that the Black Panther captured.

It’s a complicated story, but an interesting one. I did like the art too. ( )
