This book was a great non-fiction book for explaining the water cycle to children. This book was too advanced for my second grade student and it was not easy for my ELL student to understand the book so this would definitely be more suited towards older readers. This book does a great job of breaking down and explaining the water cycle to kids but they need to have prior knowledge and context about how evaporation and condensation work first. This book is suited for guided reading because you can ask students to identify times that they've seen evaporation or condensation in their daily lives. This can spark discussions about weather and the water cycle in our daily lives. ( ) The Water Cycle by Craig Hammersmith explains the water cycle from evaporation to condensation to precipitation. The author illustrates many helpful diagrams that can help students better understand the water cycle. Characteristic events are also demonstrated, like the way sleet and hail are produced. This book can be very beneficial in the classroom to educate students on not only the water cycle, but key terms, such as recycle. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
