Useful overview of the book of psalms highlighting the value of the 'canonical' approach to them. Rather than worrying about unknowable stuff like their authorship or purpose attend to them in their context, and realise that the book's arrangement is deliberate with psalms reacting to issues in earlier psalms. Has some good stuff on particular psalms, Ps 22, 1, 2, 100, 103. Has a look at the imprecatory psalms and messianic approaches.
The book brings together different lectures, so there is some repetition of content. (
