Was looking for a book where there was a taciturn hero. And boy was this guy ever taciturn. He hardly spoke a word throughout the book. You knew basically nothing about him but he was so cool he ruled the whole university. I'll buy that, but he had so many conversations involving just his eyebrows that it was pretty ridiculous in places. Still I enjoyed him for the most part. There were lots of strong elements to the story. I loved how she had so many brothers that everyone kept assuming at least some of them must be boyfriends. I appreciated how the heroine grew in confidence as time passed. The book is set in Australia and no effort is made to make the book more accessible for a foreign audience but I didn't have too much difficulty following along. It was written in first person POV so you only really got the heroine's POV and there was little description. I did feel that most of the characters in the story acted way older than their ages. The heroine was 17 and the hero 19.

On the whole a fun story and I would like to read about many more of her brothers. But I understand that she has only written one other. If anyone knows differently please let me know. ( )
