"Pepita and the Bully" is about, Pepita, a girl who is bullied by one of her other classmates at school. The character finds out, within this story, that none of the adults she passes by, thinks that all of the characteristics she was bullied about, are actually what make her beautiful. In general, this story goes through the problems that America faces towards its understanding of different cultures, and reinforces how important it is for children to accept differences, no matter how small they are. This book is also accessible to students who know Spanish, and gives full translations for each page. In terms of using this book in my classroom, I would read it to second graders to help them think about what bullying is, and how it is never right to put someone down for being themselves. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
