Tough is a story which emphasis the importance of bullying. The main character is Sam who thinks everyone should have a tough skin. I would recommend this to children to open the door to discuss bullying. I also think it discuss how important it is to be yourself. ( )

"Tough" was written by Erin Frankel and is about a young girl who feels the need to be mean to others to fit in. The character Sam is a very insecure girl who thinks if she doesn't try at anything and makes fun of others that it is cool. The them of this story is to stop bullying. The Author has written other books including: "Weird" and "Dare." To sum up this story Sam starts off bullying other kids to seem cool, and at the end she realizes it is better to be nice and to make friends. ( )

This is the 3rd book of the series. This book will show that it's not right to bully and that bullying isn't the right thing to do. This is a great read aloud. ( )
