Enough is enough. I quite enjoyed the first book in this series but I could not finish this one. The translation is so awful that in some places I think it was done by machine and the translator did not take the time to go over the text for mistakes. Either that or Ms Lehtolainen lost all her writing skills just in time to do this book. The range of words is restricted, making everything sound flat. Many sentences are awkward. There are strange twisted sentences including one where the word "bug" as surveillance device is mixed up with "bug" as computer problem. Yuri is reduced to a shadow character. Based on her behavior and internal dialogue, Hilja's character has become incomprehensible. The treatment of Mike Virtue is embarrassingly bad.

My first mushroom guide explained that so long you can differentiate between true and false morels, no morel is poisonous provided they are not eaten raw. I don't know why Mike has the willies about eating them at a famous restaurant.

Pidän enemmän Maria Kallio -dekkareista. Turvanainen, henkivartija (miten halutaankaan nimittää) Hilja Ilveskero viettää liian jännittävää elämää minun makuuni. Lehtolainen osaa kyllä kirjoittaa sujuvasti, mutta tapahtumat eivät minua miellytä. Maininnat Tuusniemi-Outokumpu -akselilla kyllä ovat mukavia. ( )
