A little girl's mommy calls her "little mouse," but the girl lists all the ways she's not like a little mouse...until bedtime, when she's cozy and dozy and ready to be mommy's little mouse again. ( ) Fantasy Age appropriateness: primary This book is about a little girl who does not like or think the nick name her mom gives her (mouse) fits her well. But she decides that right now she would not want to be called anything else. This is a good fantasy book because it teaches kids how nick names could be hurtful. And the author teaches this message by having a girl make connections to different animals about who she thinks she is. Also the girl is giving herself mouse and animal characteristics that in real life cannot be given to humans. This story begins with a little girl sitting on her mother's lap reading a story. The mom comments that the little girl, is her little mouse. The girl tries to show the mother that she is, indeed, not a little mouse but much more. She does things like climb the top of the stairs to show, she is tall as a giraffe and pull a heavy wagon to show she is as strong as a rhino. After a long day of proving how brave and strong she is, she becomes tired and realizes she likes being her mom's little mouse. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
