A little girl now has two homes because her parents live separately. She says how things have changed. In the beginning, they all lived together and mom and dad often hugged while she was in the middle of them like a hotdog. Her parents then begin to argue a lot, standing far away from each other and the house became “too small” for the two of them. Now there’s one home for dad, one home for mom and two home for her. I like how the book is told from a child’s perspective and her observations. She doesn’t really understand what is going on but she is able to recognize the changes, such as dad’s sadness and the adult’s long conversations. Although she notices the negative changes, she notices the positives. She says how she enjoys having two birthdays and looking up to see both parents at her swimming event made her feel loved. In the beginning it was hard but there was always love and I believe that is a great message for children. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
