Four kids who live on eighth avenue watch as their neighbor, apparently the worst kid ever, buries something in the back yard. The kids set out to figure out what he is hiding, and run into some trouble. It turns out Leroy, the neighbor, is actually a fire Marshall and had to bury his dog that died.
I was really confused on why they thought Leroy was a bad person. I think this book may be a sequel to a previous book, but I found no indication of this. If it is, then maybe that would clear up the story line. Otherwise, I did not think that the plot made sense- there was no reason for Leroy to be the WORST kid on the street. (
