Beautiful picture book showing sea animals with a short poem describing them

I love how descriptive the book is with each sea animal. Even though the poems are short, they describe how different sea animals live there day today lives and I think that’s amazing! ( )

Summary:
This is a poetry about animals that are found in the Gulf of Mexico. The poem includes the correct names of the animals and a brief description of them. The creatures range from the dainty seahorse to the fearsome shark.

Reaction: The illustrations in this book are very big and beautiful and I was surprised by the very expanded vocabulary. I also liked that the names of the animals were more than just fish and the descriptions were accurate.

Extension:
1.The students can choose an animal in the sea and provide additional from informational books.
2. Have students find good adjectives to describe sea animals.
