This series of books is very similar to that of “Mickey Wonders Why;” however, instead of having a specific category of topics, the “Question Book Series” from Discovery Toys categorizes the questions based on the question word (which is the title of the book). This book can be appropriate for a variety of ages—you just have to change the purpose and context of lesson and activities around. For example, I would use this for youngsters such as those in kindergarten while teaching them about question words. Instead of having them read the book or thinking critically about each question, I would read this book to them and reask them the question “why” to help them understand its purpose and under what context to use it. On the other hand, I would use them for the older children as a tool for reading, analyzing, and critical thinking. This book in particular, “Why?” focuses on the reasons for events occurring in and aspects characterizing our world that we may question or not have thought to question. ( )
